Opportunities for plant breeding (KB-11-004-009)

Each year the Integrative Breeding Multi Years Course series (IBMYC) organizes three workshops to deliver statistical training and support to about 180 researchers predominantly from Africa and Asia. The course materials are continuously extended and improved accounting for the evaluation feedback from workshop’s  participants. The project also aims to contribute to a powerful and user-friendly pipeline of software-tools for statistical analysis of field trials and genetic analysis. These enhanced tools and associated training will aid plant breeders to progress in releasing crop varieties that yield well under a wide range of mostly suboptimal environments.
