Description
Pressures on the NEXUS domains (water, food, energy, ecosystem) are particularly increasing in small tropical island developing states, due to a combination of limited availability of space and resources, ever growing human populations, and climate change. This requires an integrated, innovative and sustainable management approach to secure food, water, and energy supply and ecosystem services for future generations. In this project we will develop such an integrated management approach for small tropical island developing states, using Bonaire as a case study. Doing so, we will identify feedback loops, and the need for interventions by stakeholders.
