Nexus is the connection between the domains water, food, energy and ecosystem. Problems arise due to intervention in the system, stimulated by policy, where insufficient consideration has been given to other domains in the nexus. As a result, measures in one domain have a negative effect on another domain. This project analyzes how decisions regarding the Nexus domains are taken at different levels. What is the reason to select a non-nexus policy or a non-nexus solution. How can policy be triggered towards nexus-compliant policy-making. For the Nexus, the relationship between economic theory, behavioral economics and governance is laid and looked at where there are points of interest for improvement.
