Description
Governments, companies and nature reserve managers look for principles from behavioral economics which they can apply to get people more involved into nature. Behavioural economics is now rarely used, partly because there is little experience within nature policy making. Through experiments examples are developed of how principles from behavioural economics can be applied to increase consumers’ interest for products that takes into account nature in its production . In 2017 an experiment using a (virtual) supermarket setting was conducted to test the extent in which a selection of nudging techniques can increase consumers’ interest for such products.
