Natura 2000 Habitatprofielen (WOT-04-009-034.01)

The Natura 2000 profiles document is a background document with descriptions of ecological characteristics and conditions of habitat types, habitat species and bird species of the Natura 2000 targets document. Natura 2000 sites and conservation targets have been assigned for these habitat types and species of community interest. With regard to the habitat types this is a translation of the Interpretation manual of European Union habitats to the situation in the Netherlands.

In this project the description of habitat types will be revised based on information which has recently become available from Article 17 reports which have been written in 2013 within the framework of the Habitats Directive, Standard Data Forms, definition issues raised by compiling habitattype maps, and other issues raised during writing of the PAS-restoration strategies and the NNN-monitoring. Furthermore, documents will be re-edited. The revision process will be carried out in close cooperation with the ministry of Economic Affairs. The project output will consist of revised and updated profile documents of habitat types of Annex I of the Habitats Directive.
