Nano-Chemical Biomarkers of Molecular Mechanisms and Nutritional Factors in Cognitive Ageing and Neurodegeneration (NanoNU-Marker)

NanoNu-Marker will undertake the scientific and societal challenge to develop, combine and apply innovative experimental and digital technologies to identify novel biomarkers at the nanoscale of cognitive decline, and to unravel the molecular links between protein aggregation and human nutrition/lifestyle, in order to tackle the socioeconomic impact of dementia and neurodegeneration on world ageing population.

NanoNu-Marker gaat de wetenschappelijke en maatschappelijke uitdaging aan om innovatieve experimentele en digitale technologieën te ontwikkelen, te combineren en toe te passen om nieuwe biomarkers te identificeren op de nanoschaal van cognitieve achteruitgang, en om de moleculaire verbanden tussen eiwitaggregatie en menselijke voeding/levensstijl te ontrafelen, om zo de sociaaleconomische impact van dementie en neurodegeneratie op de vergrijzende wereldbevolking aanpakken.
