MYFISH (Maximising yield of fishery) (KB-14-005-019)

The MYFISH project will provide clear and operational definitions of Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY of fish stocks)  variants, with broader or alternative social, environmental and economic criteria than those commonly used, which will provide a guide for policy makers to select operational targets and adopt appropriate management instruments. By this, MYFISH will contribute to the successful implementation and subsequent development of the new Common Fisheries Policy (2014), with a particular emphasis on effectively integrating environmental, economic and social policy commitments into management of fisheries and related industries and services.
