Multi-Scale modelling of West Nile Virus Transmission Some individuals contribute more to disease transmission than others. This depends on many factors and individual differences that affect whether an individual gets infected and how infectious he becomes after that. If, due to circumstances, the disease dynamics on the individual level change this can have a significant influence on the disease outcome on the population level. Within the WiLiMan-ID project I will research these factors for West Nile Virus, a virus that is increasingly spreading throughout Europe with severe consequences.
