Modelling heat stress in dairy cows

Project: PhD

Project Details

Description

The aim of my project is to improve health and welfare of dairy cows from the perspective of reduction of heat stress. The effects of increasing air temperature on thermal responses of dairy cows at different relative humidity and air velocity levels are investigated, and a dynamic model is developed to simulate thermoregulatory responses of dairy cows under different environmental conditions and different exposure times to heat stress.
