Modelleringswerk ten behoeve van het VGO project (BO-20-009-030)

Project: LNV project

Project Details

Description

Obtaining insight into the different micro-organisms that occur in the neighbourhood of intensive livestock farms, and assessing the impact of the exposure of neighbouring residents on their health: two important problems that are investigated in the research project  Veehouderij en Gezondheid Omwonenden (VGO). In this VGO project, a collaboration between RIVM, IRAS of Utrecht University, NIVEL and Animal Sciences Group of Wageningen UR (Central Veterinary Institute and Wageningen Livestock Research), different types of data will be gathered, in particular data on the (potential) health burden of intensive farming in nearby residents in The Netherlands. To utilize these valuable data in an optimal way in answering the research problems indicated above, analyses using statistical and mechanistic modelling are needed. In this BO project part of these modelling analyses are being carried out.
