Model: De bodemkaart 1:50.000 (SGM) (WOT-04-013-003)

The Soil Map of the Netherlands 1:50,000 provides information about the nature and composition of the topsoil (soil type), with a further subdivision according to soil formation, peat type, abnormal layers in the profile, lime content, and disturbances due to excavation and leveling. The Soil Map is created based on descriptions of the soil profile in soil borings and profile pits. The Soil Map is part of the Subsurface Basic Registration (BRO) and must be kept up to date in accordance with the law, which is why part of the soil map is updated every year.
