ML Geomorfologie (WOT-04-013-007)

The Dutch Geomorphological Map is a unique product: the Netherlands happens to be the only country with a detailed geomorphological map covering the whole nation. Further detailing is needed for amongst others - climate resilient spatial planning. To do so we make use of the Digital Elevation Model of the Netherlands (AHN). However, the present way of working is a time consuming procedure. Fortunately, machine or deep learning provide the algorithms whit which we can simultaneously speed up the procedure and improve the quality. In the near future these algorithms will not only change geomorphology mapping: it is believed that they will prove to be a radical mapping game changer!
