Description
Discard plans represent a new element in fisheries management and are aimed at operationalizing the discard ban. The discard ban starts on January 1, 2015 for the pelagic fishery and on January 1, 2016 the plaice and sole fishery. Discard plans are limited in scope, however, still must be completed. In different fields scientific support is needed.
The goal of this project is to contribute to the formulation of management plans for different fish stocks.
