Lumbricus. Climate robust design of soil and water systems through building with nature approaches

Project: Staff

Project Details

Dutch watershed management needs to cope with soil degradation caused by intensive agricultural use and growing drought and high discharge extreme events. Fragmented governance arrangements are an obstacle to designing strategies for enhancing resilience. Lumbricus aims at developing knowledge and innovations for climate robust catchments. The program takes an integrated system perspective and is transdisciplinary and uses pilot areas to test solutions in practice.
