RESPECT.farm has the impression that traditional meat production could be replaced by cultured meat production. However, the operational blue print of such a cultured meat farm has to be developed and tested on feasibility (in relation to other production models) and acceptance by farmers. In this project three production models for production of cultured meat will be analyzed and evaluated:
- Multinationals in food production produce cultured meat from biopt to meat
- Farmers produce cultured meat from biopt to meat
- Farmers produce cells for cultured meat, and meat companies or multinationals print cultured meat
The primary goal of this project is to research the technical, economical, legal, environmental and social feasibility of different food system models for the transition from meat production to cultured meat production.
