KD-2018-025 Agreed Agenda SEEDNL (BO-43-011.04-005)

Project: LNV project

Project Details

The Netherlands is a major international player in the field of seed sector development, in which the government, the private sector, knowledge institutes and NGOs contribute to the availability of high quality seed of productive and locally adapted varieties, but also knowledge and expertise about seed and crop cultivation. LNV, DGIS Inclusive Green Growth Department (IGG) and Sustainable Economic Development Department (DDE), together with Plantum and Topsector Horticulture & Starting Materials, intend to achieve SeedNL. This Public-Private Partnership aims to establish a common agenda for coordinating, aligning and promoting international activities on seed sector development, thus promoting further cooperation in the sector. The basis for this agenda is the SeedNL concept note (Informal working group, 2017). In this project Wageningen University & Research, Wageningen Center for Development Innovation supports the development of agreed agenda contributes by means of a background paper.
