KD-2017-112_Ladders in staande netten IJsselmeer (+ NAPRO) (BO-43-023.02-005, BO-20-010-172)

The fisheries sector presented an alternative plan ("Plan B") for the management of commercial Percidae and Cyprinidae in the Ijsselmeer and Markermeer. A part of this plan is changing the fishing method to reduce the catch of unwanted fish. This change means fishing without "ladders" in the gill nets. The research question was if the change leads to a reduction in the catches and if this reduction is within the expected range mentioned by the fishermen. Unfortunately, it was not possible to continue this project and instead a yearly fishieries survey was carried out. This survey was first carried out in 2016 by WMR.
