Description

A country report on aquatic genetic resources will be developed on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. The Dutch country report will be submitted to the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), and will be used for the development of the 1st FAO State of the World’s Aquatic Genetic Resources report. Aquatic Genetic Resources is defined as: Aquatic Genetic Resources of Farmed Aquatic Species and their Wild Relatives within National Jurisdiction. The Dutch country report will be developed in consultation with a committee of experts and stakeholders, and national priorities for the conservation and sustainable use of aquatic genetic resources will be identified.
