Description
The central question is: what are the main benefits of building innovative dikes a opposed to traditional dikes in Lauwersoog? The purpose of this project is to perform a cost benefit analysis which highlights costs and benefits of various dike concepts for different stakeholders. The main conclusion is that there are various conceivable measures that can make the area more attractive for economic activities, which can be combined with innovative dikes. However, combination with traditional dikes is just as feasible. Therefore we have to conclude that there are no differences in benefits between innovative and traditional dikes.
