Infrastructuur Evaluatie Natuurbeleid (DUIN) (WOT-04-010-043, WOT-04-010-032, WOT-04-010-032.01, WOT-04-011-024, WOT-04-006-061)

DUIN facilitates the acquisition, management, documentation and accessibility of data for researchers at PBL and Wageningen University & Research, supporting the production of the Balance of the Living Environment, Nature Exploration and other regular products within the framework of the Nature Planning Office function.

Another main goal of the DUIN project is to ensure both the technical and substantive quality of the data. Thereby, a few core files of NLG from the PBL data portfolio are taken care of by DUIN. Describing documentation in the form of metadata and identifying the possibilities and limitation of use, are essential aspects of the preparatory work before the data becomes available. 

The primary knowledge and research question for DUIN focuses on how PBL and WOT can improve and streamline the discovery and utilization of available information, knowledge and expertise when carrying out tasks for the Nature Planning Office.
