Infrastructuur Evaluatie Natuurbeleid (DUIN) (WOT-04-010-043, WOT-04-010-032, WOT-04-010-032.01, WOT-04-011-024, WOT-04-006-061)

DUIN facilitates the acquisition, management, documentation and making accessible of data for the researchers of PBL and Wageningen University & Research for the production of the Balance of the Living Environment, Nature Exploration and other regular products in the context of the Nature Planning Office function”.

Another main goal of the DUIN project is to guarantee “the technical and substantive quality of data”. Describing the documentation in the form of metadata and the possibilities and impossibilities is an important part of the work in advance of making the data available.

The most important knowledge and research question for DUIN is how the PBL and the WOT can find and use available information, knowledge and expertise better and more efficiently when performing planning office tasks.
