The aim of the current project is to gain more insight into the association between food supplements and IBS complaints and the underlying physiological mechanisms, with special emphasis on the gut microbiota profile to gain more insight in how dietary changes can be implemented in practice. Next to IBS patients, we also want to focus on healthy people and explore the effect of dietary fiber and fermented foods on gut health and well being.
