H2020 BATModel (cofin) (KB-34-001-005)

Project: LVVN project

Project Details

Description

To effectively address current global challenges decision support systems need to better address societal concerns with regard to employment, health and income distribution, alongside the focus on sustainability goals and standard economic indicators like GDP.

The scope for making Dutch food production healthier and more sustainable depends heavily on the impact on the competitive position of the Dutch agri-food complex. BATMODEL's core output is quantitative insight into both broader welfare effects and how the competitiveness of various sectors is influenced by traditional trade policies (tariffs, subsidies, quotas) and by new, more complex forms of (trade) policy (such as the carbon offset tariffs of a Green Deal) that pursue a wide range of objectives.
