The projects aim to describe gut microbiota development from birth to puberty as well as its relations to extrinsic factors such as breastfeeding, solid food, and biological gender, and to explore microbial associations with child mental development and health (cognition, problem behavior, prosocial behavior, and social anxiety) by using various complementary and sophisticated statistical approaches.
