Project: LVVN project

Project Details

Description

In the second (2016) and third (2017) phase of this study a pilot for the development of an independent and accurate and monitoring network for groundwaterlevels under groundwater dependant ecosystem is developed and tested in a small but varied pilot area (Boetelerveld). The design and test phase of this monitoring network is conducted in three steps. The first step is the selection of a pilot area based on the variety of measurement conditions and the possibility to collaborate with the conservation manager. The second step is to test the measurement practice and the way to establisch proper and sufficient observations to derive accurate predictions or estimates. In the third step this pilot groundwaterlevel monitoring system is evaluated and it's suitabily for upscaling to a National scale is discussed.

In phase 3 (2017) the measurements will end in April 2017. After that the data will be analyzed, and reported (medio 2017).
