Governance tools and processes Climate and Water Resilient Cities (KB-25-002-001)

The Greeninfra for Beira project in Mozambique studied the ecosystem services in and around the city of Beira by worksessions with local citizens and through individual interviews. Objective was to develop a land ecological basis for design of watermanagement solutions that respond to local and social needs. The inventory was translated into a masterplan and detail plans for the city, following the typical Wageningen Landscape Planning approach. The Climate Adaptation Support Tool, developed by Wageningen UR and TU Delft and Deltares, contributed to the analytical phase of the project and the inventory of ecosystem services.
