Description
The fast growing food market asks for new and efficient control systems for the simultaneous detection of divers potential contaminants. Within this project, innovative screening methods will be developed for the fast and easy detection of divers contaminants using functional proteins (antibodies).
For the Foodsniffer project (www.foodsniffer.eu), antibodies against mycotoxins and allergens are gathered and tested. For 2 of the mycotoxins (fumonisin B1 and deoxynivalenol (DON)) monoclonal antibodies are developed and tested. In 2016,the interferometry-based sensor will be tested for these applications in food.
Within the EU project MycoTest (2015-2017), antibodies and multiplex screening tests will be developed for the measurement of three important mycotoxins (T-2/HT-2, ochratoxin A and sterigmatocystin) for which no good monoclonal antibodies are available at this moment.
