From TAC to bottom (KB-24-005-033)

Providing ecosystem advice is complex as there are many different stressors, one of them being fisheries. Science is available to link fishing effort to bottom impact, hereby establishing a clear link between single species management and an important part of ecosystem management. This project develops the standardized methodology to convert changes in TAC on an annual basis to changes in seafloor integrity. The results can be used by managers and stakeholders to showcase the trade-off between economic and ecological targets.
