Fotosynthese sensoren 2014 (KaE) (BO-20-021-009, BO-20-003-042)

Project: LVVN project

Project Details

Description

Photosynthesis is the basis for crop growth and production. Since the rate of photosynthesis responds rapidly to changes in greenhouse climate (especially light and CO 2), the process of photosynthesis is most suited to monitor whether the climate is set according to the needs of the crop. The ideal monitoring system should be able to measure continuously on a large area, should be robust and not expensive. However, such a system does not exist yet. Wageningen UR Greenhouse Horticulture and PhenoVation have developed two monitoring systems and tested them in the greenhouse. The crop photosynthesis sensor is a soft sensor that quantifies the CO 2 uptake of an entire greenhouse. The tests showed that when greenhouse conditions are stable, the monitor provides reliable data of the pattern of crop photosynthesis. The CropObserver is a fluorescence sensor that monitors the efficiency of photosynthesis of an area of 3 x 3 m 2 crop.
