Description

This political anthropological project inquires everyday interactions between citizens and public authorities. Researching popular neighborhoods in the capitals of Guinea Bissau (Bissau) and the Central African Republic (Bangui), it offers new empirical and theoretical insights into if and how the legitimacy of the state is maintained on a day to day basis despite chronic political crises.
