Project Details
Description
ENZYCLE focuses on enzymatic back-to-monomer recycling of poorly recyclable plastic polymers and fractions. For polyolefin microplastics, new enzymes and micro-organisms will be sought. In addition, polyester-degrading enzymes will be identified and improved. For both parts, processes will be developed with application areas as multilayer packaging materials (food industry and agricultural sector) and water treatment plants.
