Project Details
Description
The aim of the Brazil ESF project is to provide an overview of the current research landscape for agroforestry, biobased economy and biodiversity, to identify niches for joint research programs and start new collaborations on these themes. This will be valuable for future initiatives for the Amazon and the upcoming 2024 G20 meetings in Brazil. The embassy employees and the embassy science fellow will focus on agroforestry systems, nature-inclusive agriculture and biological pest control in such systems. This can reduce the conflict between a need of increased land use for agriculture and nature conservation of the Amazon.
