Description
Horse mackerel from the North Sea and Atlantic aggregate at certain times of the year. It is not possible to discriminate the stocks visually. But the stocks are managed separately, so it is important to find a way to discriminate the stocks. The goal of this project was to find a chemical method to easily discriminate the stocks. However, samples could not be collected from the various spawning grounds and the project was terminated.
