This project focuses on the development and engineering of synthetic CRISPR-Cas systems for applications in molecular diagnostics and genome editing. The research investigates Type II, III, and V CRISPR-Cas systems at both fundamental and applied levels, with the aim of understanding their molecular mechanisms while expanding their biotechnological potential. The work combines synthetic biology, molecular biology, and bioengineering approaches to design programmable CRISPR-based tools for nucleic acid detection and targeted genetic manipulation. By exploring diverse CRISPR-Cas systems, the project seeks to contribute to next-generation diagnostic platforms and precision genome engineering technologies.
