Description
The project will focus on developing the FOODMETRES assessment tool “Metropolitan Foodscape Planner”(MFP) further in terms of geo-spatial detail and applicability for different policy cases. The overall
goal shall be to assess food security as a function of metropolitan populations in the context of available agricultural areas.
One metropolitan areas was selected: Amsterdam & Almere; The socio-economic and environmental objectives for this metropolitan region was determined through workshops, including a workshop with MRDH on metropolitan food solutions. Further development of the MFP-tool to meet the regional expectations will be undertaken for stakeholder interaction. A brochure was be developed on the Foodmetres Project, www.foodmetres.eu
