Project Details
Description
As part of the Delta Plan for Biodiversity Recovery, the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV) has funded three Living Labs through the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO-NWA). In these labs, consortia of scientists collaborate with stakeholders in various areas to improve biodiversity. The three areas are: the Bollenstreek (Bulb Region), Ooijpolder-Groesbeek, and Alblasserwaard-Vijfheerenlanden. The three living lab projects collaborate under an overarching project. This work plan involves KB co-funding for the Alblasserwaard Living Lab, specifically the Wageningen Environmental Research component. The lead partner is Naturalis Biodiversity Center (PL Koos Biesmeijer), and other involved partners include Erasmus University, Wageningen University & Research, and Aeres University of Applied Sciences. The Alblasserwaard Living Lab is affiliated with/is one of the projects of the Groene Cirkel Kaas en Bodemdaling. This means that the Alblasserwaard Living Lab focuses on peat meadows.
