Data-limited operating models via Approximate Bayesian Computation (KB-36-002-034)

Evaluating the effects of management options on data-limited species is key for the implementation of a complete fisheries policy that incorporates all elements in the ecosystem. Extending the MSE approach to data-limited stock will be a substantial step towards a full consideration of the effects of fishing on the whole ecosystem. Overall, more robust management advice can be developed that better ensure the sustainability of fishing activities on all stocks under a changing marine environment.
