Description
NPEC 2.0 - At the Netherlands Plant Eco-phenotyping Centre (NPEC), scientists study how plants grow in interaction with their environment. They develop knowledge to breed and grow robust future crops that are climate-change proof, crucial for food security and nature. Since 2018, experiments performed at the high-tech NPEC facility already resulted in more than 65 scientific papers, >250 terabytes of data, and many innovative new projects. The proposed upgrades will provide researchers with new state-of-the-art equipment, improved tools for data processing and analysis, and the operational support to integrate the new elements seamlessly into the existing infrastructure to provide users with enhanced functionality.
