Citizen science for landslide risk reduction and disaster resilience building in mountain regions (SHEAR)

Project: PostDoc

Project Details

The main aim of the Landslide-EVO is to increase resilience to hydrologically induced landslide and flood hazards in mountainous Western Nepal. Our interdisciplinary team will leverage the recent advances in in-situ/remote monitoring, vulnerability assessment, and polycentric risk governance, to co-generate locally actionable knowledge for disaster risk reduction and resilience building.
This project is funded by NERC (Natural Environment Research Council) and DFID (Department for International Development) under the UK SHEAR (Science for Humanitarian Emergencies and Resilience) program (grant number NE/P000452/1).
