Description
This project aims to compose a catalogue of currently commercially available biobased packaging materials and products, including webaddresses of producers. In order to position the biobased packaging materials and products, background info will be provided regarding: legislation, recycling, functional advantages, biobased versus biodegradabler, and sustainability aspects like plastic soup, GMO and green washing.
The biobased packaging materials and products will be discussed per market segment: fresh food, perishable food, non-food, packaging of packaging products (like shrink film), disposables.
The catalogue will be communicated to the target groups: producers of packaging materials, producers of products which have to be packed, purchasers, retailers, policy makers.
The catalogue will be printed as a booklet in the series 'Groene Grondstoffen'.
