BLUEPOD (blue whiting population dynamics on the western shelf) (KB-14-012-032)

Over the past nine years the International Blue Whiting Spawning stock Survey (IBWSS) has collected simultaneous fish abundance and environmental data. Exploring these data has improved the understanding of blue whiting distribution in relation to environmental parameters on the spawning grounds west of Britain and Ireland. This will facilitate the survey planning has increased our understanding of the ecosystem on the western shelf which supports commercially and environmentally important fish stocks.
