Description

The "topsector Agri &Food" has a theme about sustainabiltity focussing on three issues: efficient use of inputs, avoid and value byproducts and increase the sustainability of animal productionsystems.  More insight was needed in the use of inputs water, energy, land and phosphate and the existing byproducts of four specific supply chains: dairy products, pig meat, potatoes and sugar.  The analysis was mainly conducted by literature and desk research. Practical knowledge of the industry was also used. The end product was reviewed by product and chain experts and will be published on the Agrimatie website of LEI-Wageningen UR.
