Project: LVVN project

Project Details

Description

The new system for management of agro-ecosystems in the Netherlands (ANLb) focuses on species for which the Netherlands in the EU framework has a responsibility, especially those species for which agricultural landscapes are important for population persistence. To date, the emphasis of knowledge gathering of the ANB has mainly been on meadow birds. However, for species other than grassland birds, such as mammals, amphibians, fish, and insects, additional knowledge is required. This refers in particular to factors that determine population persistence and how these can be sustained through land management. The aim of this project is to gather existing knowledge about species other than grassland birds, which will be organized according to the different agricultural habitat types and management types as used in the new system.
