AI for Future Food Systems (KB-53-000-013)

Project: LVVN project

Project Details

Description

This research explores the opportunities and challenges of AI for future food systems. It focuses on the role of AI in the research infrastructure for designing food systems that provide sufficient, nutritious and safe food for everyone, in an environmentally friendly and ethical manner, accessible to all and at fair prices.

AI is expected to radically change food systems and redefine the role of scientific research in them. This research explores the opportunities and challenges of AI for future food systems. The focus is on the role of AI in the research infrastructure for designing food systems that provide sufficient, nutritious and safe food for everyone, in an environmentally friendly and ethical manner, accessible to all and at fair prices. The project will conduct exploratory case studies on three key research themes: AI for research data, AI for research models and AI for natural language knowledge. In parallel, horizontal, cross-case research will monitor the state of the art in AI technologies, promote synergy between the case studies and develop a common vision by drawing up a research agenda.
