Most Dutch forests are on poor soils. At a higher harvest level, where more log wood and sometimes more branch wood is harvested, this can lead to depletion of nutrients such as potassium, magnesium, calcium and phosphate. This research focuses on the development and improvement of an advice system for forest managers, which indicates which harvest levels are possible without depleting the soil for the various forest soils.
