Description

1943/5000   The practice company where the research is going to take place is an example Alstroemeria cultivation company in which both heat and electricity are purchased. This means that energy is used very consciously. The applied exposure intensity is limited (at installation 67 μmol / m2s). This company also stands for the choice to increase the intensity (current standard is approx. 80 μmol), but wants this with the least possible electricity costs. That is why the developments of LED lighting are also followed with interest here. For example, in an exploratory test with "double intensity lighting" (130 μmol) hybrid lighting (SON-T plus LED lighting (Philips lamps with an output of 2.3 μmol PAR / Welektrisch) and SON-T lighting were compared. in both subjects 60 branches per m2 more than in the rest of the company, but in the boxes with the hybrid lighting they were of a firmer quality than in the boxes with SON-T.
As a result of these results, the company decided not to continue with the high intensity of 130 μmol, but to continue with LED. A LED box (100 m2) and a box with hybrid lighting (2640 m2) were installed, but with a lower intensity (total intended 90 μmol, by us after-measured 82 μmol). The hybrid lighting was created by supplementing the existing SON-T luminaires (61 μmol) with 21 μmol LED light from the latest generation of Philips LED lamps. With an output of 2.7 μmol / Welektrisch, these lamps are 40% more efficient than SON-T. This is the first application of these lamps in this cultivation.
