Description
Successful reproduction of European eel in captivity could supply aquaculture with glass eels and close the production cycle. This way, both eel aquaculture as well as management of the natural populations could become sustainable. With the general aim to reproduce the European eel in captivity, we intend to establish, maintain and extend in this project:
- A long term research trajectory on eel reproduction;
- And an international consortium of collaborative partners in this field.
