The KB A theme “Towards a circular and climate positve society” is focused on two of the main challenges of our time: resource depletion and climate change. Within the subtheme “building blocks of a circular climate positive society” we investigate the effectiveness and potential interactions of choices that are made in the transition towards a circular and climate neutral society: what are the best options to close circles, where are the biggest leaks, how do choices affect circularity at different spatial scales, and what is the effect on greenhouse gas emissions? To support this we have built an integrated assessment framewok with a WUR wide team, which we have named the butterfly model..
