Research interests

I am a sustainability transitions researcher and systems thinker with an interdisciplinary background.

Currently, I am working as postdoctoral researcher at Wageningen University and Research, in the Knowledge, Technology & Innovation Group at the Social Science Department.

Between January 2021 and August 2022 I worked as postdoctoral researcher at Delft University of Technology, within the TPM Energy Transition Lab. My research focused on behavioral change on system and individual level.

I hold a PhD in business economics, which I earned at Hasselt University where I worked on a Horizon 2020 project (SUFISA). There my research focused on sustainability, agriculture and systems thinking. My PhD thesis is about market power and sustainability.

I completed the interdisciplinary masters' study curriculum in International Development at the University of Vienna with distinction in April 2014. My masters thesis is a comprehensive comparative study of environmental and ecological economics using the Economics of Land Dagradation as case study. During my studies, I took electoral courses equipping me with knowledge in the areas of sustainability, anthropology, social ecology, agronomy and ecological economics. While studying in Vienna I did three internships, whereat two of them were research-related.

Apart from this, I have been working as climbing teacher, fitness trainer and yoga teacher. I am an armbalancer, yogi and climber.
