Description

The study consists of 234 indigenous chicken samples collected from diverse agro-climatic environments in Ethiopia. The samples represent chickens that are typically reared under the scavenging backyard farming system in Africa. The samples were sequenced on Illumina HiSeqX platform with an average coverage > 30x. The samples were collected by Dr. Adebabay Kebede of Amhara Agricultural Research Institute, Andassa Livestock Research Center, Ethiopia
