Description
Sphingomonas sp. Sph1 was isolated in 2015 from a fouled membrane that is commonly used for the production of drinking water by filtration.</p><p>Sphingomonadaceae are initial membrane colonizers that remain dominant throughout the filtration process. This draft sequence provides insights on the modus operandi of this strain to form biofilms on membrane surfaces.
